A closer look at the Iron Man Galaxy S6 edge and its Iron Man theme

Two weeks ago we showed you the unboxing of the Galaxy S6 edge Iron Man Limited Edition, and today we will be taking a closer look at the device.
After taking the phone out of the box, you will be amazed at how good the gold and red coloring of the phone looks. The red has a sort of pearly finish to it, giving the phone a very classy feel (unfortunately, it’s impossible to show this in a picture.) The phone has the same futuristic look as its standard siblings, with the same two curvy edges and a protruding camera at the back. Only this time, the camera, speaker grill, and the home button are surrounded with gold highlights.

When you look at the back of the phone, you will see a golden Iron Man helmet, and below the helmet you see the limited edition number of the device (mine is 883.)

Well, now let’s take a look at the software. I can keep things really short here: it is practically the same as the standard Galaxy S6 edge apart from a limited edition theme (you can check out our review of the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge here to get the full scoop on the software.) The Limited Edition Iron Man theme changes the icons and homescreen wallpaper and adds a whole lot of golden accents through the user interface, which you can see in the pictures below.

The only thing left to talk about is the wireless charging pad. It comes in red with the Arc Reactor design on top. In my opinion, Samsung could have made the Arc Reactor lit up with a blue LED or something, because for now it is just the same boring charging pad that you can buy with the regular phones. In my eyes it is a missed opportunity from Samsung and something that could have made the wireless charger look really good!
