Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could launch in India in first week of October

The Indian smartphone market might be seeing the most growth in the budget smartphone segment, but the high-end market is still quite strong for Samsung in the country, and it looks like that might lead the Korean manufacturer to launch the Galaxy Note 4 in India in the first week of October. That’s before the launch of the device in the U.S. and the UK, though unlike those regions, there is no word on what price tag the Galaxy Note 4 will carry in India. It will likely cross the Rs. 50,000 mark at launch, but as we’ve seen in the past, online retailers should be able to sell it for a lot less a week or so after the phablet goes on sale.

The Galaxy Note 4 features a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440) Super AMOLED display, an octa-core Exynos 5433 chipset, 3GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization, a 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera, 32/64GB of expandable internal storage, a 3,220 mAh battery, and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. It also comes with the traditional S Pen stylus, and is the first Galaxy Note smartphone to feature a metallic body.

Milk Music streaming service to South Korea

Earlier this year, Samsung launched a new music streaming service called Milk Music to take on the streaming industry, but unlike most its product launches, Milk Music wasn’t available in the company’s home country. It looks like Samsung has now rectified that and has made Milk Music available in South Korea, according to a screenshot sent to us by one of our readers. The service should be similar to the offering in the US – you should be able to stream music from various stations, skip tracks, and create personal stations from your favorite ones.

It’s unclear if Samsung will offer the option to get a premium subscription (which costs $3.99 in the US and lets you skip unlimited tracks and listen to them offline) in South Korea just yet. It probably will at some point of time; right now, if you’re in South Korea, don’t forget to download Milk Music from the Google Play Store (or Samsung Apps) and start listening to some free music.

Samsung’s Power Sharing cable lets you charge a microUSB device with a Galaxy phone or tablet

Have a fully charged smartphone or tablet lying around while your primary device’s battery is too low? Well, then you might want to think about purchasing Samsung’s new Power Sharing cable, which lets you charge a device that has a microUSB port by connecting it to your Galaxy phone or tablet. The cable is priced at $19.99 and can be used to share power with any device that can be charged by a power cable, though Samsung is only listing the Galaxy S5, Galaxy Tab S 10.5, Galaxy Tab S 8.4, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy Avant, and Galaxy Note 4 as devices capable or sharing power with other devices.

As Samsung warns, this cable won’t let you fully charge any of your devices, but it should still prove useful when there’s no other power source available. To use the cable, you will need to download Samsung’s Power Sharing app from Samsung Apps or the Play Store, then select the amount of power you want to share with another device, which sounds like a pretty useful setting. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 pre-orders sold out in South Korea

Due to increasing pressure from Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung had decided to launch the Galaxy Note 4 earlier than expected. The Galaxy Note 4 is supposed to be launched in South Korea on September 26 but prior to its official release, the country’s major telecom carriers, SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus had started the taking the pre-orders from September 18. Now, all three major carriers in South Korea have reported that they have sold out all their pre-order supplies for the Galaxy Note 4.

SK Telecom, which is the country’s largest carrier, managed to sell out all its Galaxy Note 4 pre-order allotments in just 9 hours. KT and LG Uplus also managed to sell out the pre-orders within three days. So there is no way for South Korean consumers to pre-order the device as they have to wait till Friday when the device is expected to be launched. The Galaxy Note 4 was unveiled earlier this month and will be sold for around $919 SIM-free in South Korea.

Not to long ago Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 4, its latest flagship device. Customers will have to wait until October before they can finally get their hands on a unit. Even though Samsung has started taking pre-orders the units won’t start shipping until next month. If you just can’t wait and would like a piece of the device, the Galaxy Note 4 apps apk files are now available for download online.

The apps include S Health, Smart Remote, Gear Manage, Snapbiz Card, S Memo, All Together, Story Album, Easy Chart and more for the Galaxy Note 4. These applications are available as apk files so those who want to install them on their compatible Samsung devices will need to sideload them.
