HTC One M10 Leak Spree

The hype regarding the flagships has shifted from the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, and the LG G5 as the devices have started making their way onto the hands of reviewers and the general public. Now, it’s time for HTC to take the centre stage with the launch of their flagship for 2016.
There’s still some time for that though. For now, we have to rely on leaks and rumors to sate our appetite for more information on what HTC has planned. The latest round of rumors have given the HTC One M10 a new name: the HTC 10.
Coming from two separate leakers, @OnLeaks and @evleaks, the name of HTC’s next flagship will drop the “One” branding, along with the M codename. The device will simply be called the HTC 10.

The “10” in the branding will be referring to the fact that this will be the successor to the previous flagship, the One M9. @evleaks mentions that the “10” branding does not imply that the phone will run Windows 10, but we do hope that a Windows variant of the device be considered for the future.
Next up, are the live images of the device, which come to us courtesy of @OnLeaks:
Image 002
Image 003
Image 004
@OnLeaks also attached “prototype specs” along with these images, namely mentioning the 5.15″ QHD display, the Snapdragon 820 and the Adreno 530, the 4GB of RAM, the 12MP camera and the USB Type C port.
That’s not all though. We also have @evleaks joining in in the HTC 10 rumor party with renders of the device:
Image 005
The renders and the live images combined give us a good idea of what to expect from the HTC 10. And based on the limited information we have at hand, the device does not look too bad. If we try to nitpick, there are plenty of design choices like the offcentered fingerprint scanner, but overall, the device looks quite different from its predecessor.
Do note, despite the “confirming” set of cross leaks, these are still leaks at best. As such, they have to be treated the same way. These are not 100% representative of the final product that consumers will see in their hands, and things can change. But at this stage, they are more likely to be small deviations instead of revolutionary re-thinkings.

Galaxy Note 5 starts receiving Android Marshmallow update

Verizon’s Galaxy S5 became the first Samsung smartphone variant in the US to get Android 5.0 Lollipop when it arrived in the US, but the carrier had to recall the update and re-release it at a later time due to some problems. Now, though, Verizon is making headlines again: this time, it is the first American carrier to release the Marshmallow update for the Galaxy Note 5.
The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for the Galaxy Note 5 will bring the software version to VRU2BPB2 (build number MMB29K). The update includes the 200+ new emoji Google brought to its Nexus devices when the update was first released several weeks ago. In addition to the new emoji, and Google’s own Google Now On Tap, Doze Mode, detailed battery stats, customizable permissions, and so on.
Verizon brings its own changes to the Galaxy Note 5 for its customers. One of these that we know you’ll enjoy to the fullest extent is Wi-Fi Calling, a feature that will no longer mandate worrying about your 3G/4G calling signal in some out-of-coverage areas. Additionally, YouTube Live Broadcast will now allow you to bring people in on what you’re doing, even if they’re not on your contacts list.
Amazon’s Appstore will be removed with the update, but you’ll also gain Samsung’s new and improved “squircle” icons and folder designs that’ll match what T-Mobile Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge buyers are experiencing right now. To grab Google’s latest sweet treat, head on over to System Settings > System Updates > Check for new system update. If you want to see just what you’re getting before you hit that update button, check out our Galaxy Note 5 Android Marshmallow coverage.
Have you grabbed your Galaxy Note 5 Android Marshmallow update yet? Found new features that you like? Still trying to grab your update? Glad Verizon has done this first in America? Do your thing in the comments.

Sony Ericsson Devices From 2011 Get Marshmallow Support

bfore making a whole bunch of “Z” devices, Sony, or rather Sony Ericsson, was focused on bringing up some really good and affordable devices. In 2011, Sony released about a dozen mid-range devices that are still quite popular, and not only on XDA.
If you have one of these in your pockets, we have some really exciting news for you – prepare for some marshmallows, as CyanogenMod 13.0 is up and running!
Bringing the latest version of Android to an older device is a challenging task. There are some hardware limitations like storage or RAM and often an old kernel source that makes the porting a pain. A group of developers known as LegacyXperia has put these limitations in the bin and brought impressive builds of CyanogenMod for the following devices:
The list of bugs is very short and contains such things as the FM Radio, ANT+, HDMI and 720p video recording. These things are not deal breakers, so you can use the CyanogenMod 13 as your new daily driver. There is only one requirement that needs to be met – your device must have a fast SD card put in the slot. A class 10 or higher is required. We must admit that seeing the support for such old devices is definitely a pleasure to watch. Some newer devices are left behind while Sony’s development stage is thriving.
If you are interested in development and you have some ideas how to fix things, you can use team’s GitHub and Gerrit to make code contributions. In other scenarios, head over to the development thread to get the latest build for your rocking Xperia phone.

Huawei Watch Update 1.4

I used the latest minimal ADB and Fastboot here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2317790

Make sure you are connected to your charging dock.
Make sure you are running the latest update LCB43B.

I did all this on Win 10.

1. Just be fully stock including recovery. Refer to Skin1980's guide here to return to stock if you used his previous kernel or did any other mods like TWRP or root. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/huaw...watch-t3219596)
2. Make sure you have debugging turned on inside developer settings. (If the menu is not there tap your build number in about menu 7 or 8 times and it will appear)
3. Run command "adb devices" and make sure your device appears. (If it says unauthorized check watch screen and accept you pc as trusted) (If nothing appears make sure you have the correct drivers installed I use the universal naked driver here http://forum.xda-developers.com/goog...naked-t2513339) (People have reported PDANET drivers are working if the naked drivers do not work for them and are somewhat easier to install.)
4. Run adb command "adb reboot bootloader"
5. Reboot recovery from inside bootloader using the button's short and long taps to change selection and select reboot recovery.
6. Scroll down and select apply update from adb.
7. Rename zip to update.zip and make sure its located inside the root directory of your adb installation.
8. Run command "adb sideload update.zip"

3-3-2016 Firmware Updates: Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Alpha

Samsung has a plethora of phones and tablets in its lineup, and regularly releases firmware updates for various devices. These can include major updates, which bring a newer version of the OS to a particular device, or minor ones that improve performance and stability and fix bugs. Software updates for Samsung devices roll out in various regions every day, and you can find out which firmware updates were pushed out by the company over the last 24 hours through our firmware list.
As usual, you can download each of these firmware from our firmware section (simply enter your device’s model number to view all firmware for that device) in order to update to a new firmware manually, or as a means to return to your phone or tablet’s stock software.
