When Samsung officially launched the Galaxy A and the Galaxy E series smartphones in India last month, the Galaxy A7 was mysteriously missing from the lineup, which got everything thinking whether it would be launched in India, especially since its price would make it compete with the company’s own Galaxy S5. However, the Galaxy A7 (SM-A700F) is now available for purchase in the country through the company’s official online retail channel, Samsung India eStore, for INR 30,499 (~ $491).
The Galaxy A7 is a part of Samsung’s new Galaxy A series of smartphones, all of which sport thin metal unibodies, Super AMOLED displays, and high-resolution front-facing cameras. The Galaxy A7 features a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, Android 4.4.4 KitKat, 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, two SIM card slots, 4G LTE Cat. 4 connectivity, and a 2,600 mAh battery. It is also equipped with a 13-megapixel primary camera with 1080p video recording, and a 5-megapixel secondary camera.
